Winter's been a difficult character to work with over the years, design-wise. Her original design was pretty much crap, and she looked too old. Eventually, I worked that out.
Then, I must have changed the style of drawing her eyes.. well, you can see here that I did it a lot.
Ultimately, I'm happiest with the current design, because I finally sat and worked out a way to depict her so that her whole forehead area wasn't a cluttered mess of eyebrows, glasses, and hairline. She is much more fun to draw now!
Her glasses suddenly became round, but that could have been mentioned in-story and I've just forgotten.
She sorta went from librarian, to hipster, to hippie, and now it's hard to tell exactly what she is. For all intents and purposes, I will say 'adventurer'.

This' really fascinating, watching your art timelines. XD I think Winter's design really has improved, especially recently. She's expressive all the time now, instead of in bursts of cartooniness.
This is very impressive, just like seeing Otra Otra Otra. It's not hard at all to see a change in every picture, ultimately reaching a great final result. Personally, I have always liked thicker lines on characters; I think it makes the person look more expressive than with lots of thinner lines. Very nice overall!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
